What Losing Loved Ones Has Taught Me

How Losing Loved Ones Changes You

I’ve been at a loss for words as to what to write about this week. I’m kind of hoping that the words will come to me as I sit here staring at my computer screen.

Considering what all has happened in my life this past week, you would think I would be exploding with words. But I’m having a hard time turning the feelings I have into actual, meaningful words.

Breaking Down Your Spouse’s Emotional Barriers

Wives, you know that feeling you get when you just glance over at your husband, see how handsome he is, and realize that you just love him so much? You still wonder, after all these years, how you found such a wonderful person to share your life with, and realize how much God has blessed you by giving you him.

How to Deal With Insecurity in Marriage

Dealing with Insecurity in Marriage

I know I can’t be the only woman who struggles with insecurity in marriage.

You wake up in the morning and look in the mirror. You take a good look at yourself, and all you see is an ugly face, with an ugly body to go along with it. You see yourself as overweight and unappealing, with acne and scars and hair that never tames. You see a girl who fails often at everything and never seems to get things right no matter how hard she tries.

How to Have the Strength to Forgive

Are you struggling with forgiveness? I know how firsthand how hard that can be. Learn how to forgive from my experiences.

My husband and I are completely addicted to a TV show on Netflix called Once Upon A Time.

Ways to Show Thankfulness this Thanksgiving

“Realize that the LORD alone is God. He made us, and we are His. We are His people and the sheep in His care. Enter His gates with a song of thanksgiving. Come into His courtyards with a song of praise. Give thanks to Him; praise His name. The LORD is good. His mercy endures forever. His faithfulness endures throughout every generation.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭100:3-5‬

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year. You get to sit around a table full of delicious food with people you truly love and give thanks to God for the many, many blessings he has given to us. We have so much to be thankful for! Even when we feel like our whole world is falling apart, God still blesses us immeasurably in every way!

7 Things We Learned in Our First Year of Marriage

I can’t believe that in less than a month (November 7), my husband Steven and I will be married a whole year! It feels like just yesterday we got engaged and were  planning our dream wedding.
For those who don’t know, we have been together since we were 13 and 15 years old, (almost 6 years now). The way we met was crazy (and quite a long story), so I’ll spare you the details right now and write a post about it soon. It’s a super sweet story. ❤️ Continue Reading
